Gourmet Saturday

My third weekend in a row with Linus. Such luxury. Especially since I didn't have to do the travelling. Well I get some cred for studying dubble credits - sort of. Naturally we spent part of the week-end indulging in one of our favorite past times: food. I had this gift certificate for a french/spanish restaurant in town which I had to make use of before December. Man, did we. I chose the best starter (foie gras on a bed of apple with honeytruffle oil) and Linus chose the best main course (beef with foie gras and creamy red wine sauce...). We both enjoyed the white chocolate mosse on a bed of mango puré, although we were stuffed afterwards. Such joy. The restaurant was very cosy down in a vaulted basement with a wine celler attached. And candle light. Soooo romantic.

Otherwise my tip of the week is to watch "Studio 60 - The Sunset Strip" when you can. It's written my Aaron Sorkin (of the west wing) with a few actors from thats ame project. Very good. Can't wait for the next episode.
